&lt;p&gt;Roland&amp;#8217;s father, John bought four pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle in 1989. Now 20 years later, the herd has grown to 200 cattle. John has always followed natural farming techniques and  ensures the best possible conditions for the cattle and the quality of the beef.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Full traceability on every single cow in the herd is vital to John and to Muddy Boots and we can guarantee this on every kilogram of beef we use.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Muddy Boots Cattle Criteria&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- The cattle are all 100% pure-bred Aberdeen Angus beef.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- The cattle are all grass-fed from weening so they are always at their natural weight.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- All calves are weened at 9 months from their mother (when they would naturally ween).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- All the cattle are grass-fed on clover lays so they are particularly high in Omega 3 and 6.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- The cattle are at not grain-finished or abnormally fattened.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- All the beef is 21-day hung on the bone.&lt;/p&gt;
